FlamePay

Two ways to prepare for a refill, backed by one traceable system.

FlamePay is a mobile-first LPG prepayment and redemption platform built for Nigerian households and verified partner stations. Station Lock lets a customer buy a fixed gas quantity at one selected station for a clear 10-day window, while Flexible Naira keeps value Naira-backed until the customer chooses an available station at redemption. Customer, station, and administrative products share one traceable operational system.

From customer payment to station redemption.

I shaped FlamePay from product rules and interaction design through system architecture and implementation. The work spans universal React Native and Expo applications for customers and station teams, Next.js public and administrative surfaces, FastAPI services, a PostgreSQL source-of-truth ledger, Celery and Redis background processing, Paystack payment flows, and a containerised deployment foundation. I also established the engineering system, design tokens, auditability rules, and verification practices used across the product.

1. 01 Built the customer and station journeys for authentication, Station Lock, Flexible Naira, vouchers, partial redemption, and transaction records.
2. 02 Designed traceable payment, ledger, settlement, notification, and administrative workflows with idempotent value-changing operations.
3. 03 Delivered the public website on Netlify and a Docker-based deployment foundation for the API, worker, scheduler, PostgreSQL, and Redis services.
